Project Highlights:
When Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) wanted to implement a new mortgage lending strategy, they asked me to join them from ASB Bank (NZ) where I had recently project managed the foundational strategy & automation of their customer service & direct banking activities.
At CBA, I worked with the Project Executive to ensure the business strategy, technology, people, processes & physical environment would satisfy the agreed-to goals & objectives. My most critical task was to build & manage a harmonious team, including vendors, service providers, internal & IT staff to ensure the project was completed on time & within budget (with no nervous breakdowns or divorces!)
Once completed, the CEO of Prudential Insurance of Australia asked me to work directly with him to "shepherd" the changes that would come from the introduction of a new direct sales & service channel. Again, it was my responsibility to balance the service providers, consultants & vendors to launch the project on time, within budget.
Then joined the marketing team to sensibly organise & rationalise their data into a manageable, useable & cost-effective data warehouse. I also directed the rationalisation, standardisation & rewriting of all customer communications.
AMP Financial Services recruited me to investigate & write a viable business case to evaluate & integrate 21 business areas supporting calls about superannuation. Again a significant part of the role was to balance five competing consultancies with our business requirements & socialise the project internally until the project was complete.
